Krystina Marie Kahut

Born Sept. 28, 1988, in Eagle Point, Ore., Krystina passed away Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008, 2 weeks after being placed on the donor list for a heart and lung transplant. She is survived by her parents, Sarah and Ed Kahut; brothers, Marine PFC Joseph (Aimee) Kahut, and AJ; and sisters, Juli, Tori, Shaynie and Trisstan.

A graduate of Crater High School, she was an accomplished and published writer of poems, and a children's book, which is in the process of being illustrated. She loved camping, swimming, shopping, reading, and being her siblings' biggest fan as they played sports. She loved to live life, though it was a struggle. Her most cherished possessions were family and friends. Krystina touched the lives of many and won't ever be forgotten.

Krystina and her family would like to thank all her friends and loved ones for their support when she was born, diagnosed with heart and lung disease, and the many long trips to distant hospitals. With your support, her life was full and enriched. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for loving our daughter; we know the Heavenly Father has blessings for you all. We know she loved you all, too. Our deepest graditude and appreciation also goes to the medical community for the dedication and medical expertise, giving us 20 wonderful years with our beautiful daughter.
