Sue Kyzer, 81, passed away after a long illness on Nov. 14, 2008, in Medford, Ore. She was born in Clarion, Penn., on March 6, 1927, to George Sheffer and Theresa Rote, who preceded her in death, along with three brothers, Harold, Richard and Earl Sheffer. She is survived by her four children, Dick Kyzer, of Hermitage, Tenn., David Kyzer, of Medford, Ore., Kevin Kyzer, of Littleton, Colo., and Kerry Stanger, of Kent, Wash.; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Sue married Horace G. Kyzer in Clarion, Penn., in 1945. She retired in 1987 after serving many years as a Defense Contract Administrator. She was responsible for negotiating and supervising the work of Defense contractors to include work on the Navy's ADCAP torpedo. In her retirement, Sue loved studying the Bible and knitting Afghans for her family and friends. After cremation, a memorial service will be held on Nov. 22, 2008, at 2 p.m. at the Crater Lake Congregation Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3822 Crater Lake Ave., across from Lowes.
