Lelia Lorena Berry

Lelia of Central Point, Ore., passed away suddenly in Portland, Ore., on Nov. 12, 2008, at the age of 70.

Lelia was born June 30, 1938, in Napa, Calif. She was the youngest child of Martha Ann Wilson and Dean Cyrus Walker. Lelia graduated from Napa High School in 1956. She graduated from San Jose State in 1960 with a Bachelor's Degree in speech and drama. Lelia spent most of her working career helping others as a social worker. At the time of her death she was a case manager for Jackson County Mental Health in Oregon. Lelia was an active life member of the American Dairy Goat Association and served in a variety of capacities during her 38 years of membership.

Lelia is survived by her children, Marianne Boettcher, of Vancouver, Wash., Suzanne Pike, and son-in-law, Timothy Pike, of Medford, Ore., and Nathan Ramey, of Central Point, Ore.; her grandchildren, Kylee and Katie Pike of Medford, Ore.; her siblings, William Walker, of Sparks, Nev., Suzanne Murray, of Junction City, Ore., and Marianne Baptista, of Castro Valley, Calif.; and many other loving family and friends.
