Robert William Pitari



Robert William Pitari, 63, of Rogue River, Ore., passed away Friday, Jan. 16, 2009, at his home. A viewing will be held Friday, Jan. 23, 2009, from 1-3 p.m. and Eulogy from 3-4 p.m at Conger-Morris, 800 S. Front St., Central Point. Committal service will be held Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. at Eagle Point Veterans Cemetary. Officiating will be Pastor Pete Slusher, of Community Bible Church.



Robert was born December 1945, in Long Island, N.Y., to Joseph Pitari and Lydia Pitari. He has lived in Rogue River since 1989. He married his wife, Lynn, who survives, in January 1993. He was a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Army.



Robert worked as a cement mixer driver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and woodworking, and being with family.



He is survived by his sons, Jimmy, Richard, John, Michael, and Joseph; sisters, Tia, Ramona, and Renita; and brothers, Joe, Bill, and Dan; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by Joseph and Lydia Pitari.
