u Families with children at least 5 years old can attend Rogue Valley Symphony Orchestra’s free Discovery Concert at 10:30 a.m. today at the Craterian Ginger Rogers Theater, 23 S. Central Ave., Medford. The program features mask-maker Jamie Peck dancing with his animal masks as the orchestra performs “Carnival of the Animals” by Camille Saint-Saens. The performance will last about one hour and the conductor will explain what to listen for in the music. Excerpts from “Mysterious Mountain” will also be on the program.
