Rogue Valley Symphony's annual free concert for families — complete with an instrument "petting zoo" for the young set — is this morning in Medford.

The concert starts at 10:30 a.m. at the Craterian Ginger Rogers Theater, 23 S. Central Ave. Doors open at 9:30 a.m., and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

The concert will feature Saint-Saens' "Carnival of the Animals" along with masked dancers Jamie Peck and Vernonica DeWitt. There will also be excerpts from Hohvanness' "Mysterious Mountain."

Larry's Music will provide instruments for kids to try before the concert.
