As part of a series of talks on "Green Living," the Jackson County Greens will host a presentation by Scott McGuire, who tends a backyard garden to feed his family in a sustainable and dependable way, at 7 p.m. at the Ashland library, 410 Siskiyou Blvd.

McGuire's sustainable living presentation will focus on growing your own food and becoming more self-sufficient. Previous talks in this series focused on "Water Catchments and Water Conservation" and "Making Your Home Energy Efficient."
