Big beams roll in for the next piece of the south Medford interchange on Interstate 5.

Six massive beams will arrive each day, starting today and continuing through Thursday, Oregon Department of Transportation officials said.

The beams will be delivered to the job site directly from the northbound lanes of the interstate, even though they are coming in from the north.

That means drivers clear down at Ashland's Exit 19 to South Valley View Road should expect minor delays as the beams turn around at that interchange.
