Louis Glen Partsafas



Louis Glen Partsafas passed away peacefully Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009, at his home under the watchful care of his loving family.



A celebration of life will be held Friday, Feb. 27, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. at Conger-Morris Funeral Chapel in Medford. Chaplain David Campbell will officiate.



Louis was born in May of 1924, in Valley Junction, Iowa, to Fred and Una Partsafas. He attended Grants Pass High and married Peggy Haberman in 1944. They were married 62 years. In 1955 they moved to Medford, where Louis was a plywood foreman, then started his own excavation business, "Lou's Backhoe Service" from 1960-1998. He was a professional musician, playing locally from 1955-1969. He enjoyed gambling, hunting, fishing, gold mining, camping, and story telling.



Survivors include one son, Clinton Partsafas (Mary); five grandchildren, Linda Guches (Don), Terry Partsafas (Paulina), Connie Adams (Glenn), Aaron Partsafas (Christen), Daniel Partsafas (Tina); 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Irene Krissie; and two brothers, Ted Heath and Ernie Partsafas. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Peggy; and son, Terry G. Partsafas, who was killed in the Vietnam War in 1968.



He never knew a stranger and always had a good story to tell. His bright smile and warm inviting hugs will be missed by many. The family would like to express their gratitude to the doctors, nurses,and staff at Hematology/Oncology and Asante Home Health/Hospice.
