John Kenneth Greeno

John Kenneth Greeno went to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009. He lived with his wife of 67 years, Edith Margaret Greeno, in Medford, Ore.

John was born to Houston and Florence Greeno in Wessington Springs, S.D. He attended Pasadena Nazarene College to prepare for the ministry.

John and Margaret were married in Corning, Calif., by Margaret's father who was pastor of their church. There he worked on a dairy. After a few years, John felt God's call to the ministry. This led to touching many lives with his humble spirit by pointing them to his Heavenly Father. He pastored in New Mexico, California, and Oregon. After pastoring 40 plus years, he and Margaret enjoyed traveling in their fifth wheel, fishing, camping, and visting their children. After several years, they settled in Redding, Calif., to be near their son, Ron Greeno, who was pastoring the Church of the Nazarene. After eight years, they moved to Medford, Ore., to be near their daughter, Phyllis Holliman. Here they enjoyed being near many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were faithful members of the Medford Church of the Nazarene.

John is survived by his wife, Edith Margaret Greeno; and his four children, Ronald Greeno of Lincoln, Calif., Phyllis Holliman, of Medford, Ore., Patricia Thompson, of Boise, Idaho, and David Greeno, of Bryan, Texas; foster daughter, Laura Stahl, of Bakersfield, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
