EUGENE — Sacramento State's Blake Crosby hit the first grand slam out of PK Park Tuesday as the Hornets downed Oregon 10-5.

Crosby's grand slam and poor Oregon (9-12) defense proved to be the difference for Sacramento State, which scored six unearned runs. A five-run eighth sealed the game for the Hornets.

Oregon's Caleb Tommasini led off the game with a solo homer, his second, and reached base four times. He also singled and walked twice.

Tommasini reached base in four of his five trips to the plate, with a home run, single and two walks. Curtis Raulinaitis, Andrew Schmidt and KC Serna each had two hits for Oregon.

The Ducks played the game without head coach Greg Horton, who was suspended three games for bumping an umpire.

Horton was ejected from Sunday's game at Portland's PGE Park after disputing a call in the fifth inning. The umpire's report said that Horton's hat touched him during the dispute.

Horton will miss today's game against Sacramento State and Friday's contest against rival Oregon State in Eugene.
