GRANTS PASS — Sunshine Powers claimed medalist honors with another steady round and the North Medford girls golf team used three other solid scores to separate from the rest of the Southwest Conference in Monday's tournament at Grants Pass Country Club.

GRANTS PASS — Sunshine Powers claimed medalist honors with another steady round and the North Medford girls golf team used three other solid scores to separate from the rest of the Southwest Conference in Monday's tournament at Grants Pass Country Club.

Powers went out strong with 38 and tacked on a 41 on the back nine to finish at 6-over-par 78 and North Medford had one of its best outings of the season with a 346 total.

Abby Mann and Abby Perkins shot 85 and 88, respectively, to round out the day's top three scores. Katelyn Galante capped North's scoring with a 99.

Aside from North's top three, no other golfer on the day shot better than a 92 — South Eugene's Lindsey Warne — paving the way for North Medford to break away from runner-up Roseburg (404) by 58 strokes.

South Medford's Ryann Cuthbertson led the Panthers with a 99.

ALL-DISTRICT 6 TOURNAMENT — At Grants Pass, led by Aubrie Street's 16-over-par 88, St. Mary's posted the top three scores on the day, vaulting the Crusaders past the rest of the District 6 at Grants Pass Country Club.

Joining the medalist Street for St. Mary's (381) were Cassaundra Carrotheres, who shot 92, and Katie Wayman, who shot 96.

Christina Phelps shot a 101, which was tops for Cascade Christian.

ALL-SWC TOURNAMENT — At Grants Pass, Hamilton Baehr fell two shots off medalist honors in leading North Medford with a 1-over-par 73 at Grants Pass Country Club.

South Eugene's Sulman Raza fired a 1-under 71 to help lead his team to victory as the Axemen scored 304 overall.

Brandon Bol shot 79 to pace South Medford.

NORTH MEDFORD 4, ROSEBURG 4 — At Roseburg, after Roseburg came out of the gates winning winning three of the four singles matches, North Medford's doubles teams answered with three wins at Stewart Park.

North Medford's Jaci Abeloe and Carissa Arnesen made quick work of Gillian Bentley and Kayla Hall at No. 1 doubles, winning 6-1, 6-4.

At No. 2 doubles, North's Lydia Kimball and Kami Goodson rallied in the third set and outlasted Leah Alliman and Ashley Clarke, 6-3, 3-6, 7-5, to preserve the tie for the Black Tornado (6-0-4).
