KLAMATH FALLS — Eagle Point's Garrett Davis won two sprints — establishing state-best marks — in the boys meet, and seven Eagles girls won events, but it wasn't enough to keep Klamath Union from capturing a Southern Sky Conference dual track and field meet Tuesday.

KLAMATH FALLS — Eagle Point's Garrett Davis won two sprints — establishing state-best marks — in the boys meet, and seven Eagles girls won events, but it wasn't enough to keep Klamath Union from capturing a Southern Sky Conference dual track and field meet Tuesday.

Davis won the 100 meters in 10.82 seconds and the 200 in 22.61. The 100 time is the best for any level in the state, and the 200 mark is tops in Class 5A.

KU triumphed 94-51 in boys and 74-69 in girls.

NORTH MEDFORD 7, GRANTS PASS 1 — At Grants Pass, Tanner Borg and Austin Schoenlein remained undefeated in doubles play as North Medford rolled to the Southwest Conference victory.

The Black Tornado swept the doubles matches while Colt Hoeptner and Andrew Walkup each had shutout singles victories for North.

SWC Girls Tennis

NORTH MEDFORD 5, GRANTS PASS 3 — North Medford's victory in all four doubles matches allowed the Black Tornado to remain unbeaten in the Southwest Conference.

Grants Pass won three of four in singles, capitalizing on North's No. 1 player Sierra Severson missing her third straight match with a shoulder injury. Severson is expected back soon.

Hannah Gilder's victory at No. 4 singles proved decisive for the Black Tornado (7-0-4, 4-0-2 SWC).

In No. 3 doubles, the North team of Kate Folsom and Jessica Reid fought back from a 5-2 deficit in the second set to score a 6-4, 7-5 victory against Mikayla Morgan and Cat Smith.

Jaci Abeloe and Carissa Arnesen, the Black Tornado No. 1 doubles team, improved to 8-1 on the season.
