Joe Icenhower

Joe Icenhower passed away unexpectedly on April 20, 2009. He was born in Lakeview, Ore., in 1949 to Roy and Emma Icenhower. He graduated from Lakeview High School in 1967. He married Doris Stafford in October 1973. He enjoyed spending time with his wife and grandchildren, and raising their two wonderful daughters. He also enjoyed camping, reading, going to the Oregon beach, fishing, cooking, and playing with their dog Coco. He served four years in the U.S. Navy as an aviation electrician. Before moving to Medford in 1998, Joe worked for Fremont Sawmill and Lake District Hospital. He received his Journeyman Electricians license in 2003 and was working for Reece Electric Inc until his passing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Emma; sister, Josephine; and brothers, Maurice and Richard. He is survived by wife, Doris; daughters, Mandy, her two children Braiden and Jenna, Sabrina Powless and her husband, Guy and their children, Aubrey and Aaliyah; sister, Virginia Moore; and brothers, Harold and Stephen.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 2009 at First Church of the Nazarene 1974 E McAndrews Road Medford, Ore. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his name to the American Heart Association.
