Rogue Disposal & Recycling Facilities Manager Leonard Griggs will retire May 1 after nearly 50 years with the company. Griggs started working full-time for the company on June 16, 1960, as a helper before becoming a driver that same year.

Rogue Disposal & Recycling Facilities Manager Leonard Griggs will retire May 1 after nearly 50 years with the company. Griggs started working full-time for the company on June 16, 1960, as a helper before becoming a driver that same year.

Other positions he's had at the company include route foreman and operations manager at Rogue Disposal & Recycling's Recycle Solutions Inc. He ran that operation until 2001 before becoming facilities manager. Prior to working full-time, Griggs worked at the company during his summers, Christmas and spring breaks after the eighth grade.

Griggs was involved in the transition from smaller rear-load trucks to a front-load system with larger trucks in 1980. Rear-load trucks were manned by two employees while the front-load trucks could be operated by one.



Kim Galloway has joined People's Bank of Commerce as its personal banking officer at its Ashland branch.

Galloway has more than 28 years of financial experience. For the past three years, she was managing partner and broker for American Pacific Mortgage in Medford. From 1980 through 2003, Galloway worked for Rogue Federal Credit Union in several capacities, including branch manager.

In 2008, she received an award from American Pacific Mortgage for the most reverse mortgages processed. She also received the 2007 Girl Scout Volunteer Award.

The APCC designation is given to outstanding sales representatives who have met or exceeded the company's production and quality requirements. Hathaway has been with MetLife for five years.
