VALDOSTA, Ga. — Jason Allred dropped back a couple strokes from his opening round but still made the cut Friday after the second round of the South Georgia Classic on the Nationwide Tour.

Playing in his first golf tournament this season, Allred suffered a double bogey on the fourth hole Friday but used three birdies to make up for that and another bogey to finish at even-par 72.

His two-day total of 142 put the Ashland native in a tie for 39th overall and above the cut line of 1-under 143.

Henrik Bjornstad fired an 8-under 64 in the second round to pull into a tie for the lead with Garth Mulroy, who shot 6-under Friday. The duo stand at 9-under 135 entering today's third round at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club.
