WHITE CITY — Steve Orten won the dwarf car division at Southern Oregon Speedway Saturday.

Other winners were Frank Word III pro stocks, Dane Smith in late models, Krista Hadley in super fours and Toby Judd in mini stocks.

Orten took the lead with five laps gone and hit a top speed of 64 mph and kept the lead to the end.

In pro stocks after nine laps, leader Doug Tumey spun out in the third turn, and Word took the lead for good, with Rick Skaggs close behind and Jim Hill in third.

In late models, Smith was dominating by the third lap, hitting a top speed of 72.7 mph. Andy Freeman was second and Trent Elliott.

Despite mechanical problems in the super fours, Krista Hadley overpowered a withering field that was reduced to seven cars from 11 after three laps. After Joe Guider spun out in the third turn, Hadley sped ahead, with Tom Williams in second and Parker Jones in third. That's how they finished.

Judd started out in second, took the lead and won despite skidding off the wall at the end of the last lap.
