COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS — Georgia's fifth-ranked doubles team of Nate Schnugg and Jamie Hunt advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Championships Friday after a hard-fought win over California's 19th-ranked team of Geoff Chizever and Pedro Zerbini.

COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS — Georgia's fifth-ranked doubles team of Nate Schnugg and Jamie Hunt advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Championships Friday after a hard-fought win over California's 19th-ranked team of Geoff Chizever and Pedro Zerbini.

The Bulldogs, who are seeded fourth, posted a 7-6,4-6,6-4 win over the Bear duo. The Schnugg/Hunt team is now 32-11.

In singles, Stanford sophomore Alex Clayton eliminated Schnugg, a Medford native, 6-4,7-6(4) to move on to the quarterfinals.

Schnugg ends his season in singles with a 37-15 record with 24 wins over ranked opponents. He earned ITA All-America honors in singles and doubles.
