Reba Nickson Taylor

Reba Nickson Taylor of Ashland, OR, passed away May 11, 2009 in Mount Vernon, Wash. Born Reba Shirley Nickson, April 7, 1924 in San Francisco, Calif., to Charles A. and Hazel J. (Stickel) Nickson. She was a graduate of Lowell High School in San Francisco and went on to receive a B.A. degree in English from the University of Oregon, where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority.

On March 29, 1947 in Los Altos, Calif., she married Robert Renwick Taylor (Portland, Ore.). They lived in the Bay area, Calif. and the Portland, Ore., area before the family moved to the Rogue Valley in 1957.

Mrs. Taylor enjoyed nature, animals, and playing bridge. She is survived by a son, Dirk R. Taylor, of Blaine, Wash. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Doreen V. Taylor, in 1971; and her husband, Ren, in 2000. Her death preceded the death of her sister, Doris Bowen, of Yreka, Calif., by six days.
