Marion and Evelyn Fernau of Medford celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on May 30, at Bel Di's in Shady Cove.

Marion and Evelyn Fernau of Medford celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on May 30, at Bel Di's in Shady Cove.

Hosts of the dinner were their daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Dan Mowry of Canby and Bev and James Furgerson of Eagle Point.

Marion Fernau married Evelyn Egelhoff on May 28, 1949, in Salem. The Fernaus moved to Medford with their daughters in 1957.

Marion worked in the wood-products industry and retired from Boise Cascade in 1988 after 21 years.

Evelyn worked as a legal secretary for Joel B. Reeder for 36 years before retiring in 1999. Before and since their retirement, they have enjoyed fishing, RVing and travel.

In addition to their daughters, the Fernaus have four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
