Jack C. Loessi



Jack C. Loessi died near Ashland, Ore., after battling debilitating health problems for many years, he took his own life and was found in a beautiful forested area on May 25, 2009.

Jack was born on Aug. 30, 1939 in Lowville, N.Y. He grew up in Beaver Falls, N.Y., and then attained his B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y.



He worked for many years in the space program at the Applied Physics Laboratory of Johns Hopkins University in Laurel, Maryland. He moved to Arizona in 1985 to work in satellite communications for Motorola, until he retired in 2000. He resided in Tempe, Ariz., until moving to Ashland, Ore., in June 2008.



He is survived by his wife, Karen; his sister, Jill McCarty, of Herkimer, N.Y.; his children, Edward, Mark, Cathleen (Rhoades) and Leelynn; and three beautiful grandchildren.
