Amy Alexis Elsom and Benjamin Matthew Petetit were married May 19 at the Greensprings Inn in Ashland. Pastor Ron Timen of Rivergate Assembly of God in Ashland officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Susan D. Elsom of Ashland. She attended Summit Preparatory High School in Redwood City, Calif., Chinook High School in Chinook, Mont., and Ashland High School. She earned a GED from Rogue Community College in Medford in 2007. She attended the Oregon Institute of Cosmetology in Medford and is transferring to Elite Cosmetology School in Yucca Valley, Calif.

The groom is the son of Pierre L. and Becky L. Petetit of Ashland. He graduated from Ashland High School in 2006 and from Marine Corps Communications and Electronics School in Twentynine Palms, Calif., in 2008. He is a tactical network operator with the U.S. Marine Corps in Twentynine Palms, Calif.

Maid of honor was Brittany Compton of Medford.

Best man was the groom's cousin, Kirt Garcia of Ashland.

Flower girls were the groom's cousins, Jordinn Garcia, Hope Garcia and Alixandria Craker, all of Ashland.

Following the ceremony, the bride's mother hosted a reception at the Greensprings Inn.

After a three-day honeymoon at the Greensprings Inn, the newlyweds will be living in Twentynine Palms, Calif.
