A Fulton, Ky., seed company will build its first West Coast distribution point in White City.

Ferry-Morse Seed Co. will lease a 100,000-square-foot warehouse formerly occupied by Royal Oak Charcoal Co. on Agate Road, Southern Oregon Regional Economic Development Inc. announced today.

It also said that First Call Resolution, a Roseburg company, will open a call center in Grants Pass.

Ferry-Morse plans to hire 20 employees by December, with projected growth to 25 full-time employees and as many as 50 seasonal positions, SOREDI officials said. The company counts Fred Meyer, Lowe's and Home Depot among its customers.

First Call, which provides call center services for communications and other customers, plans to hire 40 to 50 employees by fall and grow to 100 by the end of 2010, SOREDI said. It will lease space at 333 S.W. Fifth St. in Grants Pass.
