Big weeds, little weeds, grassy weeds and the broadleaf sort: A free class this morning aims to help Rogue Valley gardeners take control of the unwanted jungles that tend to sprout in their yards this time of year.

Longtime gardener Pam Rouhier will lead the community class, which begins at 10 a.m. at the Central Point Grange Co-op on Highway 99 in Central Point.

Rouhier will also talk about organic weed prevention to keep weeds from sprouting. She will bring along samples of preventative products, as well as handy tools for getting weeds out.

She will also take questions from class members.
Other classes in the series will focus on victory gardens, shade cloth, drip irrigation and beneficial insects.
