Arling "Bud" Lofthus



Arling "Bud" Lofthus was born May 24, 1942 in Sacramento, Calif. He was adopted as an infant to Ethel and Albert Lofthus. They moved to Medford in 1944 and he spent the rest of his life living in the Rogue Valley. He owned and operated Budget Appliance and ran a Hot dog cart until he retired in 1991.

Bud is survived by his wife, Edna "Cookie" Lofthus; daughter, Jackie Clifford; son, Clint Lofthus; four grandchildren, Kayla, Beau, Josh and Chere; four brothers; aunts, Hazel Lindelof and Jean Dimperio; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his adopted parents; his biological mother and father, Iva Campbell and Walter Thomson; and numerous aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will be held Monday, July 13, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. at the Medford Elks Lodge. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lions Club or the Elks Lodge of Medford.
