Christina R. Simerson



Christina R. Simerson, 37, of Bay Point Road, died Thursday, June 25, 2009, at her home.



She was born on March 4, 1972, in Klamath Falls, Ore., a daughter of Randall L. and Susan A. Harsch. As a child she enjoyed riding three wheelers and hunting and fishing. She graduated from Henley High School in Klamath Falls, class of 1990.



She entered the U.S. Navy immediately following graduation and served as an Aviation Machinist Mate. Her duty assignments included Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department, Sigonella, Sicily.



She married Calvin D. Simerson on July 29, 1993, in Portsmouth, Va.



She worked at various retail stores as a customer service representative.



She was a skilled artist who worked with pencil and water colors.

She was an avid reader and history buff with a special interest in Japanese culture. She enjoyed exploring Maine, feeding hummingbirds and ice fishing, especially on her favorite pond, Charles Pond in Georgetown.



She is predeceased by a sister, Margaret Owings; and a niece, Kori Rae Owings, who both died in 1993.



She is survived by her husband of Georgetown, ME; a daughter, Kayla Simerson, of Georgetown, ME; her father, of Medford, Ore.; her mother, of Marysville, Calif.; sister, Randie Ferree, of Medford, Ore.; and grandmother, Alma Rexford, of Marysville, Calif.



A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m., Sunday, June 28, 2009, at the Brunswick Naval Air Station Chapel. Burial will take place at a later date at Mt. Laki Cemetery in Klamath Falls, Ore.
