Ashland's library plans to show free family-oriented movies Tuesday afternoons throughout this month.

The Tuesday Family Matinees series begins July 7 at the library, 410 Siskiyou Blvd. Movies are scheduled from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.

The schedule includes:

July 7: G-rated "The Sword in the Stone," a classic Arthurian legend where truth, wisdom, and humility triumph over brute force.

July 14. "Black Beauty," the G-rated story of an intelligent, sensitive horse that ultimately finds love and happiness.

July 21. "Charlotte's Web," the G-rated story of a pet pig and a special spider that teaches about friendship and love.

July 28. "Little Women," the PG-rated story of four March daughters who hope and dream as they grow up.
