A Chase bank branch burglarized over the weekend remains closed today while investigators gather and evaluate clues.

Monday morning bank employees found that someone had entered the bank between closing time at 1 p.m. Saturday and when workers arrived to open the bank at about 8:30 a.m. Monday. The burglar or burglars had entered the bank's vault and taken things, although investigators declined to disclose what was missing.

Police said bank officials would contact any customers who might be affected by the loss. While the bank is closed customers are directed to a branch just across the street, inside the Fred Meyer store at 1301 Center Drive.

The investigation, which involves Medford police, the FBI and forensic technicians from Oregon State Police Crime Lab, is ongoing.
