Free arts and crafts projects, jump houses and games are at two Medford parks today as part of a weekly summer program for kids.

The city’s Public Art Cart will be at Lone Pine Park, 3158 Lone Pine Road, from 10 a.m. to noon and at Holmes Park, 185 S. Modoc Ave., from 1 to 3 p.m.

Lone Pine Park includes a spray play area, which could be popular this afternoon as the heat rises into at least the high 90s. Holmes Park, however, has more shade.

The cart heads to Wilson School Park and Donahue Frohnmayer Park on Thursdays, Union and Fichtner-Mainwaring parks on Mondays and Howard and Lewis Street parks on Tuesdays.

The annual effort is organized by the city’s parks department and the Medford Arts Commission.
