A Klamath County man who was admitted to Rogue Valley Medical Center after he fell ill with the H1N1 influenza virus died early Saturday from complications related to the virus, Klamath County health officials said.

The man's name has not been released. Klamath County public health officials last week said he was 33 years old. He was the first confirmed case of the swine flu in Klamath County.

His is the sixth known death in Oregon from the virus since it appeared in the spring. The Oregon Public Health Laboratory has identified 530 confirmed cases of the virus.
