Debbora D. Smothers (Debi), 50, of Medford, Ore., passed away on Monday, Sept. 21, 2009 in her home peacefully after a battle with cancer. Due to it spreading quickly she would urge all women to have a yearly screening for this terrible disease.
Debi moved to the Rogue Valley in December of '85 from Fresno, Calif., with her husband and children. Debi was a truly loving mother and grandmother to her nine grandchildren. She impacted and touched so many lives with her knowledge and love for Jehovah God. Her sense of humor and smile could brighten any room she walked into. Her laughter was contagious and kindness drew so many to her. Debi would befriend anyone and she had no idea how many lives she impacted. Her memory will survive in the hearts of all who knew her. Debi's strong belief in Jehovah and the promise of once again living forever in paradise earth, kept her strong during this battle with cancer.
She is survived by her loving husband, Larry; children, Shawn and his wife, Holly, Brandon and his wife, Janine, Ryan and his wife, Shannon and Janelle and her husband, Ezra; along with her nine grandchildren; and her many friends.
