Charles Robert Fisher



Charles Robert Fisher passed away Sept. 15, 2009 after a short battle with cancer. Charles was born Jan. 27, 1947 in Athens, Tenn. to Floyd and Dixie Fisher. Charles served in the United States Army from 1966 until 1973. He served three tours in Vietnam as a gunner on a Huey Gunship. He was awarded several medals for his service, including Three Purple Hearts and a Bronze Service Star. Chuck was a millwright for over 25 years; he made many wonderful friends during those years. He enjoyed spending time watching sports and the most important things to him were family, friends and food.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Patricia A. Fisher; sons, Brian, Dean and Bill Hall; daughter, Kathy Hickey; granddaughters, Lauren, Alexandria, Caitlin and Jennifer; mother, Dixie Louise; sister, Lisa Paris; brothers, Doug (Shelly) Fisher, Chris (Meredith) Fisher; nieces, Rachel, Hillary, Ayla, Emma, Izzy, Olivia; nephews, Caleb, and Troy; also, two daughters living in California. He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Fisher.

To the many friends that were there to support Chuck over the years, the family wishes to express their deepest gratitude. There will be a committal service at Eagle Point National Cemetery on Friday, Oct. 2, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. Services by Rogue Valley Funeral Alternatives. 770-6505
