One person died and three were injured when a car veered off Highway 199 south of Grants Pass Sunday and struck a tree.

The Oregon State Police identified the deceased as the driver — 48-year-old Avi Livingstone of Redway, Calif.

Sgt. Mark Byrd said this morning that Livingston's 8-year-old daughter, Hana Goodkind, was seriously injured and taken to a Medford hospital. Two others in the car had minor injuries.

Byrd says driver fatigue appears to have caused Sunday's crash on Highway 199, but the investigation remains active.
