Ashland's Planning Commission will have an opportunity Tuesday to discuss the city's Croman Mill plan in depth with city officials.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in council chambers at the Ashland Civic Center, 1175 E. Main St. It's open to the public.

Commissioners will have an opportunity to question city staff about all aspects of the plan to rezone Ashland's largest piece of undeveloped land, which is east of Tolman Creek Road.

Some commissioners have been critical of the plan and the way it has been crafted.

Staff members hope to take the commissioners' suggestions and refine the draft plan before submitting it in its entirety to the commission in October, said Bill Molnar, the city's Community Development Director.

The commission will likely hold two public meetings on the draft plan and then vote on whether to recommend that the City Council approve the proposal.
