A new season opens tonight at Medford's Craterian Ginger Rogers Theater when flamenco guitarist Roni Benise takes the stage.

A new season opens tonight at Medford's Craterian Ginger Rogers Theater when flamenco guitarist Roni Benise takes the stage.

The show is at 7:30 p.m. at the theater at 23 S. Central Ave. Tickets are $32-$38 for adults and $23-$28 for those 18 and younger.

Benise was the subject of a 2007 PBS special, "Nights of Fire!" With friends, he just finished a second PBS special, "The Spanish Guitar."

He will perform music from his "Nights of Fire" soundtrack and will be backed by a five-piece band featuring a gypsy violin and African drum.
