Lois Frazee Bergman

Lois Frazee Bergman, a former resident of Medford, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 23. She was 91.

Lois was born in Medford, Ore. on June 24, 1918, to Sadie and Oliver Frazee. She graduated from Medford High School, Class of 1936, and later attended the Southern Oregon College of Education in Ashland. She graduated from Stanford University School of Nursing in May of 1940. At Stanford, she met and married a young medical student, George R. Bergman.

After World War II, they settled in Wilmington, Calif., where Dr. Bergman practiced medicine until 1990, and Lois raised four boys. In 1997, they moved to Helendale (Silver Lakes), where Dr. Bergman passed away the following year. Lois remained in Silver Lakes until her death.

Lois is survived by her sons: James and his wife, Judy; Alan and his wife, Karen; Dale and his wife, Judy; and Williams and his wife, Conni; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. With her passes a generation that lived through the Great Depression, fought World War II and rebuilt the country in the aftermath. She loved greatly and was greatly loved. She will be missed.

A memorial service for Lois Bergman will take place on Saturday, Oct. 3, at 11:00 a.m. at Silver Lakes Community Church, 24766 Smithson Road, Helendale, CA.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Crossroads Church, P.O. Box 1689, Helendale, CA 92342, in Lois Bergman's name is requested by the family.
