It's the final weekend day before Christmas, and holiday events are on the calendar all day long, including an open house featuring American Indian flute music at Ashland's library.

The holiday open house is set from noon to 4 p.m. at the library at 410 Siskiyou Blvd., and Rory Dwyer will perform the flute music throughout the afternoon.

Details are at 774-6996.

The open house is far from the only option out there if you're looking for holiday fun, however. Unity in Ashland, a nondenominational church, plans two solstice celebrations; Jacksonville's Victorian Christmas celebration continues; churches plan caroling and social gatherings; Southern Oregon Repertory Singers plan a concert; and Ballet Rogue's production of "The Nutcracker" wraps up for another year.
