A choir made up of orphaned and at-risk children from the African nation of Uganda performs in Ashland this afternoon.

The Matsiko Children's Choir of Uganda is scheduled in a free concert from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at Havurah Synagogue, 185 N. Mountain Ave.

Twenty-nine children make up the group, whose aim is to raise awareness about children and poverty. It is a branch of the International Children's Network, an organization that sponsors children.
