An armed man robbed a Rogue Valley Mall service station just before midnight and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Medford police are looking for a thin black man in his 20s in the robbery, which occurred at 11:02 p.m. Monday at the Shell station at 1968 Crater Lake Highway, they said this morning in a news release about the robbery.

Police say they were at the station less than a minute after receiving a 9-1-1 call about the robbery, and that a police dog and officers searched the area but did not find the man.
He stood about 5-foot-8 and was wearing a black t-shirt, black pants and black shoes, police said.

Police said the man entered the station and showed the employee a handgun and demanded cash. The man fled the area on foot, police say.
