An Ashland rabbi offers a community class on holidays and festivals of ancient Israel on Monday.

The class led by Rabbi David Zaslow of the Havurah community is at 7:30 p.m. at the synagogue at 185 N. Mountain Ave. The fee to take part is $2.

Zaslow will talk about holidays and festivals associated with the four seasons in ancient Israel and how planting and harvesting cycles shaped Jewish holidays.
