Harvey A. Stevens



Harvey A. Stevens born on October 15, 1932, in Hanalei, Hawaii passed December 18, 2009, in Medford, Ore. Harvey was 77 years old. There were many warm memories of Harvey. He enjoyed playing darts and frequently joined in on local city and state tournaments. He was good at throwing darts and won several trophies from the tournaments. Harvey was one of a kind, who would play on the computer installing programs and enjoyed doing trigonometry and calculus problems for fun. He said the problems were like puzzles and he would spend hours sitting, solving them. Harvey was in the U.S. Army, and proudly served in the Korean War where he earned the Purple Heart. Harvey's occupation was as a welder at Medford CSC Inc. The family of Harvey Stevens would like to thank all the doctors and caregivers that tended to Harvey, including Dr. Bui, Dr. Sullivan, Dr. Kottler, and most of all Dr. Konecne. Harvey is survived by his wife Jan, one brother Jim Stevens of Oakland Calif., two daughters, Tana Bishop of Concord, Calif., Lisa Davis of Medford, Ore., James Stevens of Santa Rosa, Calif. Proceeded in death by son, Philip Stevens. His stepchildren are Ron Bigelow and Brett BiGelow of Medford, Ore. and Brenda BiGelow of Alaska.
