The 30-school North Medford Invitational softball tournament will take place Monday and Tuesday at U.S. Cellular Community Park.

The 30-school North Medford Invitational softball tournament will take place Monday and Tuesday at U.S. Cellular Community Park.

Games start at 8 a.m. each day on five fields, with the final game beginning at 6 p.m. There is no admission charge.

The tournament will culminate with North Medford and Crater playing their respective opponents from last year's state championship games at 6 p.m. The Black Tornado will face Sunset, while the Class 5A Comets will play Glencoe.

Other local teams participating are South Medford, Grants Pass, Eagle Point, Phoenix and Cascade Christian.

Rogue Valley Adventist Academy is hosting a girls basketball camp for home-schooled students starting Monday at the school's gymnasium.

The sessions run from 8:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays until April 2. The camp is for 5th through 7th graders. Cost is $44 (includes camp T-shirt).
