Representatives from the Oregon College Savings Plan will be in Medford Sunday to talk about the program.

They'll be available from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Kid Time! Discovery Experience, 226 N. Ross Lane. The play area will offer free admission for the day.

The Oregon College Savings Plan is a 529c plan that allows Oregon families to invest in funds that can be used later for education.

Oregon's program has a new manager and new fund lineup after making headlines last year when investors lost millions after then-manager OppenheimerFunds Inc. invested funds in risky securities. The company settled a lawsuit by the state for $20 million.

On Sunday, plan representatives will talk about the plan's new lineup of investments and promote its "You Can Get There" challenge, which invites kids describe what they want to be when they grow up and enter a contest to win a $1,000 account.

In addition to entering the scholarship challenge, Oregon College Savings Plan representatives will be onsite to answer questions from parents and students about the newly enhanced plan.
