Medford Parks and Recreation Department has tapped into a new sponsorship source at its U.S. Cellular Community Park multi-sport complex between Interstate 5 and Highway 99.

The city and Charter Communications have reached a 10-year agreement supplying the parks with $350,000 worth of advertising and production credit that will be used to offset costs associated with promoting city recreation programs.

Field 9, the baseball field adjacent to the football/soccer stadium, will now be known as Charter Field. The scoreboard and outfield fence signs will bear Charter's name. As part of the deal, Charter will also have signs placed at the Santo Community Center gymnasium and advertisement in the tri-annual Community Connections programs and services guide and a link on sportsmedford.com.
