Treats from four Southern Oregon artisan candy makers will be offered to guests who attend the 24th annual American Cinematheque Awards in Los Angeles Saturday.

Truffles from Lillie Bell Farms in Central Point, chocolates from Dagoba Chocolates in Ashland, fudge from the Oregon Connection in Coos Bay and toffee from Cary's of Oregon in Grants Pass will make their way into gift bags provided to guests at the ceremony.

"The request was for a thousand items, and they were needed immediately!" said Carolyn S. Hill, chief executive officer of the Southern Oregon Visitors Association, in a news release. "But we knew it was too good of an opportunity to let it go, so we negotiated for featuring four Southern Oregon artisan candy makers, each of which could provide 250 items, and this worked out great."

The event honoring actor Matt Damon is expected to draw a thousand guests.
