A spring storm brought fresh snow to Mount Ashland and Crater Lake National Park overnight, and unsettled weather will likely continue through most of today across the Rogue Valley.

The ski area reported 3 inches of new snow overnight, and Crater Lake's morning weather report noted 5 inches of new snow at park headquarters.

Forecasters were predicting showers through the day on the valley floor, and as much as 3 inches of new snow at Mount Ashland. Snow levels could drop as low as pass level on Interstate 5 but little accumulation is expected.

Snow showers at the ski area are expected to continue tonight and tomorrow, with little new accumulation.

Warmer, clearer weather is expected for the weekend.
