"Anatomy of Gray," the spring 2009 production, was chosen by the state selection committee as a representation of the best theater in Oregon high schools.

Twenty four AHS Actors competed with 480 Oregon other theatre kids in 12 acting categories at Thurston High School in February. These are the AHS Regional Acting Competition winners:

Emma Harding — solo acting experienced, Top 10 percent; state qualifier first place.

Rosie Alspach — duo dramatic experienced; Top 10 percent; state qualifier first place.

Kyle Barnes — duo dramatic experienced; Top 10 percent; state qualifier first place.

Amelia Farber — solo acting experienced; Top 15 percent; third-place regional winner.

Aurelia Grierson — duo comedy experienced; Top 15 percent; third-place regional winner.

Drew Woods — duo comedy experienced; Top 15 percent; third-place regional winner.

Clementine von Radics — solo musical; Top 15 percent; third- place regional winner.

Savannah Edson — duo dramatic novice; Top 15 percent; third-place regional winner.

Maya Zundel — duo dramatic novice; Top 15 percent; third- place regional winner.
