Per-room revenue at Southern Oregon’s hotels, motels and inns jumped 5.5 percent in February to $25.72, according to new lodging statistics released by the Oregon Tourism Commission.

Room demand grew 6.8 percent, while room revenue rose 7.3 percent to $6,196,619 in the region. After a flat January, the region’s occupancy rate rose 4.9 percent in February.

Nationally, per-room revenue decreased 3.6 percent to $51.09 in February, while it grew 3.8 percent to $38.20 for Oregon.
