Decisions, decisions: Medford officials are narrowing down options for a city water park, and they're looking for the public's help.

A community meeting is set at 7 tonight at the Santo Community Center, 701 N. Columbus Ave., Medford.

Parks department officials will review several options for the park, proposed for the corner of Highland Drive and Barnett Road in east Medford at the location of a city dog park and BMX bicycle track. Both would move to new locations.

The park could include an eight-lane competition swimming pool, a lazy river, family beach areas, splash pads, a wave machine, tube and drop water slides, mat racers, smaller areas for swim lessons, large shade structures and parking for up to 500, or a scaled-down version could be built.

From this meeting, the city says, the design team will take the recommendations and develop a final option for the project. The final option will include cost estimates and are due to be available to the community in May.
