Jean Alice Pope



Jean Alice Pope, died Saturday, May 1, 2010, in Peoria, Ariz, at the age of 83. She was born August 10, 1926, in Waterloo, Iowa, and was a 48 year resident of Medford, Ore, where she retired after 24 years as an accountant for Southern Oregon University.



Jean was a longtime member of Foothills Baptist Church in Medford. She and her husband of 64 years, James Pope, moved to Arizona in 2008 to be closer to family.



Survivors include her loving husband, James E. Pope, of Ariz.; sons, James L. (Rhonda) Pope, and Dennis R. (Lisa) Pope, both of Ariz.; grandsons, Michael (Leah) Pope, of Fla., Steven Pope, of Calif., Jared Patten, of Ill., and Joshua Pope, of Ariz.; granddaughter, Jennifer (Tim) McDonald, of Ariz.; and three great-grandchildren, Emmaline Pope and Ellerie Pope, of Fla., and Logan McDonald, of Ariz.



Jean will rest in peace in the Rose Garden at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetary in Medford, Ore. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be forever missed and remembered fondly by her family and many friends.
